Baby Austin

I am so sorry that we have not posted recently. Our first biological grandson, Austin Robert was born on Thursday March 19th, 6 weeks early to my youngest daughter Lindsay and her husband John. Lindsay was in the hospital on bed rest for almost 3 weeks, so we were doing all we could to keep her company. Austin must stay at Childrens Hospital until he can eat on his own. We are hoping that he will be home within the next few weeks.

Matchboxes

These cute little gift boxes were made using the new Matchbox Bigz XL Die and the Oval All stamp set from Stampin' Up available for purchase April 1, 2009. I plan on making little boxes for my daughter's baby shower, to give as gifts to everyone attending.

March Stamp Class

This month we tried experimenting with different folds for our cards. We wanted to share how easy it is to make cards open in many differenct and exciting ways. We also made each card or project with at least one SAB (Sale-a-Bration) set.

The first card we made used the Congrats set. I love this set because it is so versitile. You can mix and match the sayings for so many occassions. We also used the Fifth Avenue Floral set, stamped it in Versamark and then embossed it with white embossing powder. We sponged Not Quite Navy ink over the embossing which made the white flowers pop! Adorable!

The second card we made is called a squash card. The techincal name is a Triangle Tri-Fold. We used the SAB designer paper, Cheap Talk, Hope Happens, and Sincere Salutations. This card gives a little something extra to the receiver. To see a step-by-step tutorial visit: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/triangletrifold.php

The third project we did was this adorable bag. We used a small craft bag and created a cute treat bag or personalize gift bag. We used the Yummy set and a couple of rhinestones for "bling."
