Card Pouch

I cannot take credit for this idea. Elissa made this cute little double sided pouch to hold her handmade cards to give as a gift. I thought it was cute and it only took one piece of 12 x 12 designer paper and a few minutes to put together. You can get the instructions by going to her blog @ http://elissacreates.blogspot.com/2008/10/here-is-cute-little-pouch-i-made-up.html

Change it up like I did. You can add tags and emblishments if you'd like to jazz it up a little.

Craft Room Update #5

Okay, you can be jealous if you want. I give you permission. Sorry! I don't mean to brag, but when I got my cabinets installed in my craft space I just wanted to share it with the world. I am so thrilled that I can now start to fill these bad boys with all my stamping and scrapbook stuff. I feel like a kid at Christmas, only it's May! The next step...countertops!

The first cabinet has been installed!

Craft Room Update 4

Yes...that is what you think it is. It's carpet! Amazing and wonderful carpet. We even bought all our cabinets and there they sit on top of the wonderful carpet. One of the most beautiful things was the french doors we decided to install between my craft space and Nick's "man cave."

Craft Room Update #3

Okay...it's been a while since I've shown you all the progress of my beautiful future craft room so over the next couple days I'll be posting all the things we have accomplished over the last few months. It's just like fast forwarding! I know less dramatic, but I'm sure you all will love the results as much as I have.

Ceiling tiles are going up!

May Stamping Class

For our May stamping class this month, we wanted to keep things light and fresh so used some interesting color combinations. I think sometimes the two hardest things to creating a beautiful card are the color combo and the layout. These cards should give you some help in both areas.

The first card was used with the Trendy Tree set which I am in love with. I love trees so this set was right up my alley. We also used the new eyelet border punch and the Full of Life stamp set which has some amazing quotes and phrases.

This next card was a little more difficult, but still I think makes a visual impact. We used the Large Scallop Bigz die and the Circle Scissors Plus to create a different look for our main image. We also used the Friendly Words wheel, which I just got this week. I was so excited that it worked into this card so nicely. This would have worked as a beautiful Mother's Day card, but could easily be used for a bridal shower, birthday, or wedding.

The last card we made was a pocket card. It is a super simple design and can be made to fit any holiday or occassion depending on the colors and stamp sets you use. We used Garden Whimsy for a cute card. The color combo inspiration came right out of the Spring and Summer catalogue.
